“Category of change in the area of contemporary social work Experience of the COVID-19 pandemic times. Research and practical implications”,

to be held on 27 and 28 September 2022

The conference is organized as part of the “Doskonała nauka – wsparcie konferencji naukowych” program implemented by the Polish Ministry of Education and Science

The aim of the conference is to present research explorations of changes occurring in specified areas of social work, in the characteristics of the clients’ functioning, in work methods and tools, and in social work practitioners.

The organizers of the conference offer possibilities to present examples of good practices in the area of social work, which address the current social needs, taking into consideration research and hands-on experiences in an international context. Another aim of the meeting is to disseminate the results of the latest research in the area of social work and to come up with recommendations regarding the development of social policies.

The conference will provide space for dialog and exchange of research and practical ideas in an international context in the area of social work, and constitutes a unique, rare, and much needed form of activity focused on internationalizing science and practice of social work.

The organizers assume that the conference will lead to consolidation of the scientific community and practitioners dealing with social work in the context of universal but also dynamic change. An important aspect of the conference will be the presentation of tools for studying readiness to change among social services workers, hitherto unavailable for analysis of social workers’ activities.
